Here ! Here ! Here ! Right here, found me finally !? * phew * You took a while. A W-H-I-L-E U DAMN LAZY ARSED BITCH !
Woke up this morning to a splendid message. " If I am found strangled or something, I am going to meet blah blah in blah blah room number at the leela " Nice. Someones getting some. * Sulk * Oh, he's a friend. Be happy ! * Happy Sulk *
Then came message no. 2 " You must feel alive. About all this. Your calling has found you " It indeed has. The grooove. The niche. The calling. The direction. The thing, that thing. The very that thing that every one around me has found and embraced and mastered. The "calling" has found me. I am taking the plunge. Butt naked [ Oh quit with the voyerism already, will you !? ]
Six years of contemplation. Blah. Eight months of digression. Blah. Better late than never, I hear you say. Thank you. I know. Better late than never. There I just repeated that. Better late than never. I am. I am. I am taking up Interior Design. I am going back to school. I am. I am going to be the 24 yr old amongst 18 yr old's. Yes, I am the one.
Nine hours straight. No lunch. A light breakkie. Nothing in between the morning breakkie and the evening snack. Yet, I feel refreshed. I cant be wrong about this now, can I !?! Did the routine today. The loveliest, the most refreshing, the most delicious and the utmost familiar routine. Its been two years. No wait, two and a half years. And it felt like yesterday. Like just yesterday these I was in those streets. On an odyssey of sorts. And I am back again. It feels nice. Thank you. Thank you for the warm welcome. And yes I love the marigold flowers. They sure do cheer me up. Blows whistle.
So the main-mrs-tulsi-virani-bannah-chahti-hoon and I set out today. To shop. To seek. To indulge. I indulged and how !?! Took a day off from work. And set out to work. First stop. Went straight back to the base.
Chor Bazaar, Mutton Street. Stepped into the very first store and he recognized me. The smile. Hello sir, after a long time. OMFG, did he just recognize me?! Did he notice I have refrained for two and a half years !? Yes, long time. No thank you. No lights today tho. Walked thru those shops. Climbed those steps into dingy backrooms [where u get nicer and orgasmicer (my new word) stuff than sex] Furniture. Arbid shit. More furniture. We were looking for old haveli doors. Obviously the only we liked cost a lac and seventy five. No, we ddnt buy it. It wasnt worth it. I was rewarded tho. Found some nice *five* anjolie ela menon digitally reproduced prints on the road. 200 each :)
Fab Fucking India: Stop 2 !!! Ooops I did it again and I think I wet my pants. Liked the futon. Its been there for ever. She liked it too. Might go pick it up next week. I refrained from getting me those funky wall mounted shades. Matka Silk ! aaaaah !
Stop 3: Red Yellow & Blue: Ahem. I think I suprised the mrs.guju here. Well hell, I was suprised too. The last time I went there, four years ago. They still sold furniture. Clean Straight Lines Minimilistic Furniture. Now they sold accessories. Funky vases. *overpriced* Funkier Buddha busts and sexier cushions ! Ahem, they have a new store at mahalaxmi. Man, have I been out or what !
Stop 4: Yamini: You dont go to president house and not go 2 yamini * I mean its right behind RBY no * ! Met the ISB boi there. Was parked on the couch sorting out phone issues. Good suprise. Pleasant surprise to bump into him. Also was with him the sweet laywer boi scouting cushions. Good taste in cushions he has. I am bored of yamini tho. Somehow they never please me.
Stop 5: Zeba: Uh, well ! They had an 80 % sale dude. So what if I just went to the bandra one a few days ago and bought over priced throws at 80% discount which still cost me an arm and a leg and some foreskin. Its zeba. Its funky over priced stuff.
Stop 6: Shoma or Soma ?!: Laxman-the-I-am-schumarker driver took the wrong turn. Too much traffic. Annoying road digging session. Ddnt go. * sigh * Missed atmoshphere too. Forgot it was to my left. Lol and then drove past by. Same - too much traffic. And no. I dont walk.
Stop 7: Raj - colonial furniture Now where the fuck was I all my life. How could a place like this exist and I not know. Its like mutton st cut into portions, sobered up and displayed for you. ofcourse, they charge you the fees, but hell its so fucking worth it. New discovery. LOVED IT !!!
Stop 8:- Red Yellow and Blue - Mahalaxmi: Now this one made me walk. A lot. Stupid driver ddnt charge his phone and this wasnt accessible and thus made me walk. Stupid man. The good old clean lines. Liked stuff. Bought something. Will buy more next week. The guju ladies, guju husband whose the epitome of male chauvinism must approve. Loved the divan. Aasna Divan. Phunky.
Stop 9:- Good Earth: Haven. Refuge from sanity. I love the blue in the foyer. I lurrve the contemporary four poster bed. Ddnt buy nothing. I do not love the fact that they r hideously over priced. I love the display. I love the pottery. And I also found out where will I get as good but cheap pottery ! * jumps *
Stop 10: ME - Aka - mustafa eisa: Some ok peices. Some nice. Too tired. Not very impressed. Love the fan. 38,000 for a peice * gasp * Maybe I could get one for my room. I'll mortgage 'V' !!!
And I am bored of typing now. But I am happy. But I am content. And if I missed a point, the point is ! I'm me. After so long trying to be someone else, I'm finally me. * I borrowed that from ali's blog * Hell, atleast I made a point !
Next week, its shyam ahuja's factory outlet. Love that place. And kondor. And curiosity.
